British Columbia - Hope & Kelowna
Thanks to Chris Wood we found the little town of Hope, British Columbia, which sits right on the Fraser River. There is quite a bit to do and see in and around Hope. The Othello Tunnels walking trail is an amazing sight. The town itself is small and easily walkable. I did not realize until we got there that it is the town where the first Rambo movie was filmed in 1981. They even have a self-guided Rambo walking tour (we only did part of it). Hope is also the chainsaw carving capital of world, or something like that.
Wellington and Kate met us on Thursday morning and we drove together from Hope, BC to Kelowna, BC, with a detour at the beginning up to the Hell's Gate Air Tram (see next gallery). Our drive took us over the Cascades along the Crowsnest Highway, through Manning Provincial Park, and finally along Lake Okanagan to Kelowna.
